Finding Charlie’s Voice – Communication Support

Finding Charlie’s Voice is an Irish registered charity supporting children and young adults with speech and language communication needs. They promote tools like communication boards that help individuals express themselves and be understood – especially in settings where communication might be challenging.

JAM Cards – Just A Minute Card

The JAM Card helps autistic people, and those with communication challenges, tell others they may need extra time in daily situations – like on public transport, in shops, or services – without needing to speak. It’s widely used in Ireland and internationally to improve understanding in everyday interactions.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower – Visible Support for Hidden Needs

The Sunflower Lanyard is a discreet way to indicate a non-visible disability (including autism) so staff and the public know that the wearer may need extra time, understanding or support. This symbol is increasingly recognised in public services, travel, shops and community spaces in Ireland.

Contact Your Local GP for Support & Referrals

We encourage people to speak with their GP when they have questions or concerns, especially if they are seeking assessments, therapies or individualised support pathways.
